Things You Could Do

Day 1 – Ease into your stay with a short drive onto Exmoor. Stroll through the small, vibrant villages of Oakford and Cullompton. Enjoy the nearby country park or take afternoon refreshments at Bampton in one of the many pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Things to do in Bampton

Day 2 – A “Must Do” visit to RHS Rosemoor – The Garden Lover’s Day Out.

Day 3 – Secluded beaches and quiet inlets on the North Coast (Barricane, Mortehoe and Rockham) will provide energetic and exhilarating walks, working up an appetite for your sumptuous 3-course dinner back at Sampson woody bay
visit Clovelly

Day 4 – Enjoy tranquillity and breathtaking views at Hartland then head back along the coast to historic Clovelly, untouched for centuries with cobbled streets and flower-strewn cottages leading down to a 14th-century fishing harbour.

And finally, the perfect end to your stay………. experience the majesty of a night time sky shimmering with stars. Exmoor National Park was designated an International Dark Sky Reserve, the first in Europe. So be prepared to be amazed. In most urban areas, fewer than 500 stars may be visible, but on a cloudless night on Exmoor, you may see around 3,000. Shooting stars whizz across the inky-dark sky and you can even see the Milky Way!
